A compilation of newsreels about gymnastics and athletics between 1965 and 1968.

1. The best German gymnastics were introduced in their disciplines; high bar, rings and vaulting horse.

2. A competition in female gymnastics between Germany and Sweden in Oldenburg. The accompanying commentary points out the excellent performance of the German gymnasts and means that the German team could go to Mexico without any fear (it looks forward to the Olympic games '68).

3. An input about the German athlete Heide Rosendahl; she won the silver medal at the European championship in Budapest (1966) and is reckoned as big hope for the German female team. The shoots are done during a competition in Heidelberg.
